Let nothing “clip” your wings!

Let Nothing “clip” your wings, or “Tame” your Spirit!

Sometimes it’s hard, when it seems like no-one supports us in our endeavors.  But the truth is…  We don’t need anyone  to make us feel accomplished or proud of ourselves. It’s easy to lose sight of what really matters.

We should learn to be our own “biggest fan,” because  we fall too easily into the “Trap” of being Our Own Worst Enemy!

Toot your own horn!                                                                                                  You alone are the one who’s working hard, learning new things, and bettering yourself.  If anyone should be proud- It is us.

“Who Cares”- if anyone else notices all our hard work!!                                         In the end.. they’ll be just as bitter as they always were.

But We will be high above….

                                Soaring like the Eagle’s.                          eagle-lift-off-1624954-1598x1128

So, I say….                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             “Shoot for the moon;  Even if you miss,                  You’ll land Among the Stars!”

  1. Hi Misti, I couldn’t agree with you more!
I particularly enjoyed this sentence: “But the truth is… We don’t need anyone to make us feel accomplished or proud of ourselves.” These words are so true, I even know someone who wrote a book about this subject: “I need your love, is it true?” by Byron Katie. Have you heard of it?
Beautiful website, both your pictures and words are inspirational.

    1. Thank you very much for your comment, I appreciate it.

I haven’t read the book you were talking about, but I’m interested now.. got to go find it.

Hope to see you on my site again. I’m working on a few new things, so check back in later!

      thanks again,

      Misti C

  2. Motivating. I have the same words that I live by “Aim for the moon…….” Aim the highest goal possible so that even if you don’t get it, there is a big chance that you will get something close to it that is valuable as well.

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi Misti,

Great post! You make such a good point about only you can be proud of yourself! People find it all too easy to make decisions and do things to please others and we all need a reminder that we have to do things for ourselves. It’s our own life and we have to make sure we live it our own way 🙂

    Thanks

    Sean

    1. thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. I also like my comment that we can be proud of ourselves. (i’m still learning that daily)

      Hope to see you soon.

  4. Perfect post and so true! I have been a single mom all of my son’s life and for that reason, I have really been picky on finding someone for me. I have learned to take care of myself, be there for myself and my son, and I know I can depend on myself over anybody else. Independent….yet and I think it’s a great quality. Very true post!

    1. Thanks for your comment, I too am a single mom.
I have pretty much always been independent for the most part. It gives me a sense of accomplishment when my daughter watches me work on something or fix the car! She say’s “mama
