About Me

Let me tell you a little about me.

Hi, my name is Misti.  I am 38 years old & I am a mom to my beautiful 10 year old daughter.  For the past 5 years I have taken care of my 101 year old great grandmother in my home. Unfortunately, she passed away in February.  Since then, I have been trying to get into online work.

Some of my interests include:   Riding 4 wheelers, basketball, I do a  little hunting, & all things pertaining to nature, all-natural ideas, self help & skin care.

I am an (“almost”)-Esthetician/Skin Care Specialist.  I attended Gadsden State Community College until I started taking care of “my Granny.”  Which left me needing to take just a few more classes to have my degree. I have always been interested in skincare & anything I could find pertaining to self help & motivation.

    Great tips. What about dairy? The other day I had a huge breakout and the only thing I could tie it to was that I drank milk for the first time in a long time.


    1. Hi, thanks for the comment. About your question: What about dairy? It is recommended that you limit your intake of animal fats & hydrogenated oils- which means cutting back, (or eliminating)
      dairy products, margarine, unskinned poultry, fried foods & red meat that’s fatty!
      Also avoid foods w/ additives & preservatives. (these make toxins in your body)

      Beta-carotene, zinc & vitamin c are good for acne. They help your skin heal, strengthen connective tissue & vitamin c is also a natural anti-inflammatory.

  3. Hi!! Very cool website! I really love your beautiful theme too!! Coconut oil is great I use it in the morning instead of butter, I started using protein powder for smoothies and do you think I could use it for smoothies too? Or would it make it to oily? I have strawberries and pineapple too so I could put that in there too! Keep up the beautiful work!

    1. Hi, thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
      As far as coconut oil, it would be great in a smoothie- you’ll just have to adjust the amount you add.(which couldn’t be much)
      I will do some research & see what I can come up w/ as far as recipes.
      Do you ever use it on your skin or your hair? I love it– I take it & slather it all over!! it’s great for making your feet soft also.
      Have you ever tried grapeseed oil? I use it sometimes when I’m doing facials.
